I've been given a trial pack from my doc for Lexapro and am hesitant in taking ALOT of meds, after my Efexor experiences.

Guess i'm wondering what good or bad experiences people have had on this?

I've also got a script for Reboxetine (Edronax) if this is no good.

Any input would be appreciated Lexapro... Reboxetine...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Edronax also for weight loss? Asked out of curiosity. Lexapro... Reboxetine...

Anyway.. Lexapro wasn't any good for me.. It got me manic, but then again, I wasn't on any mood stabilizer at the time, just Lexapro.

But the good effects I got out of it, there were a few. I felt more confident and more sociable, less withdrawn, and I also got over my fear of climbing or descending staircases. I always felt like I was gonna fall down or stumble. I had to wait until the staircase wasn't crowded if I wanted to go.

I had some suicidal thoughts upon the starting of Lexapro, and felt really bad a few hours after popping the pill, but those decreased significantly once it started working.

It's worth a try! Lexapro... Reboxetine...

I've been on Lexapro for quite awhile, up to 30mg. now. It has helped my mood tremendously and helped me get going in the morning instead of feeling the need to just lay around all the time.

I don't know about the other drug. I wish you best wishes and support with your meds.

I have been on Lexapro for the past two years with a few breaks here and there to try something new, but it has not worked well for me. Unfortunately, my doctor has not given me anything else to try recently and I am at my wits end. I was on Zoloft seven years ago, but it killed my sex drive and put a bunch of weight on me so I quit taking it. I then tried Wellbutrin and it literally made me crazy. I was a raging mad woman on that stuff!

Anyway, hope you find something that works well for you. I know that some antidepressants can work wonders.

Yes apparently Edronax can help with weight loss. I haven't experienced that so far, but it makes u less hungry.

I decided to take the Edronax and have been on it a week now. It definitely keeps you awake and I have to have Neulactil at night to help me sleep so far. I think I have more energy but my mood isn't that great still.

Had crying spells for no reason and get really sooky... I wonder if anything will work

Nicole, are you on both Edronax and Lexapro, or Edronax and Effexor?

Some prescription drugs can enhance the effect of an antidepressant (lithium hinthint Lexapro... Reboxetine...). I donno if combining two antidepressants can do that.

Ah, just a thought in case Edronax doesn't work, though some antidepressants taken together can be lethal. Hang in there with Edronax, hope it works for you :-)

I'm just on Edronax by itself. I used to be on Efexor for about a year and a half and have been off of this for over 2 months.

With Edronax it can be combined with some other anti depressants but i'm not sure I want to add more meds to my combo.

I still can't sleep on the Edronax and the constipation is awful.. seeing the doctor today, hopefully he can help

I find that constipation is awful for a lot of meds. I don't know what to do about mine. My doctor hasn't been very helpful.

I just started taking Lexapro and am up to 10mg. I was very hesitant, but so far I'm really glad I decided to start taking it. I think I feel a reduction in anxiety and depression. Good luck.

Doctor told me to persist with the Reboxetine (Edronax) but i'm seeing my old doc tomorrow as this just doesn't seem right to me.

I'm not sleeping, have constant high heart rate, get times of confusion and memory loss and stomach pains.

I take Lexapro 30 mg. among other meds and find it effective.
Hang Tough mentioned the constipation side effect of these drugs. I use that "FiberCon" product. I used to take 2 pills after breakfast and 2 after dinner, but I increased it to 3 am and pm. You're supposed to take it with food or a glass of water. It really has worked well for me. It's billed as a laxative, but it's natural and safe to take each day. Hope that helps.
