I would not take vraylar based on their awful commercials. Not unless it was vraylar or death.

I used to think the Abilify commercials were ridiculous, but now I take Abilify, so go figure...

I haven't seen the Vraylar commercials, but that's kind of an aside.

Anyway, has the restlessness gone away? Sometimes it does go away. I mean, I used to have restlessness with Abilify and I just don't have it anymore.

And would you look at that, I am now taking Vraylar as an antipsychotic. I guess their advertising works, ha ha.

I am still restless all the time. I can’t sit still. I have been pacing all day. If it weren’t for all of that, I would really like this medication because it has really improved my mood.

What do you think of Vraylar so far?

It's kind of a long story, but, I'm actually not on Vraylar anymore. I just reverted back to my old meds. It wasn't because of any side effect, though. Just because I didn't feel as well on Vraylar as I did on my old meds.

Will this go away?
What you're experiencing is called "akathisia," and it's horrible. I know because I've had akathisia. I don't believe your doctor has any way of knowing that this "will go away." Sometimes, akathisia can be caused by going up in dosage too fast. Seems to me that you've suffered with this long enough. Vraylar is known to cause akathisia in a lot of people. Your doctor needs to do sommething about this. Don't suffer in silence.

Pramipexole was effective against akathisia for me.
