Well, of course my anxiety is through the roof right now. I am moving this weekend, and start back to school in a week. I broke down in full blown tears and sobbing from the stress and anxiety of it all, just told myself to breathe, calm down, and went to bed at 9pm.
Anyway-- I have been on Librium since Feb. 2007. My psychiatrist has told me to stop the Librium and has put me on .5mg of Xanax PRN (as needed) Would anyone be willing to tell me how they feel about the benzo Xanax? It's effects, did it help you? Were you afraid of getting addicted? I took my first one this morning---I wake up with major panic, and within a half hour I could feel myself calming down a litlle. I also take Suboxone for endometriosis and Seroquel to sleep--all low doses, which is good compared to a few years ago, I was taking more: 75mg Effexor XR 4mg Klonoppin 125mg Lamictal 200mg Seroquel i can't believe I took all those meds. Now I just take the Suboxone, Xanax, and Seroquel. I have BPOD traits, and some PTSD, but I really believe that my mental health stems from my personality--I am a type A to the extreme, and stress out over things that need not be stressed over ie; worry extremely too much. Does anyone relate and what about this Xanax? Can anyone relate to the BPD, PTSD, and anxiety traits/symptoms? Thank you, Kris |

oh and one more thing:
I know we are to ask our docs about important things, and none of us are doctors, I wish they could post!!!---so I asked mt psychiatrist if I just stop the Librium and switch to the Xanax, he said yes. Has anyone had to do this? Ho w did it work for YOU? What would I do without Psych Central <3 ![]() ![]() |
