It's making my head feel like there is fluid in it!

Has this ever happened to anyone?

Headaches too.

Have to vent---wondering if Librium is better?

Can anyone please give me some input?

Have you been taking the Xanax for a while or is this a new medication for you? You can find information about Xanax and its side effects here.

There's a lot of information of Xanax online.. Airway's link being one of the websites. Not sure about this Xanax

It's a really strong tranquilizer, it (like all other meds) isn't suitable for everyone. I get sleepy, and with alcohol the effects are unpredictable.

Not my number 1 choice for a tranquilizer.

If it makes you feel bad, you can try something else. I find oxazepam a good one. I barely feel it, don't get sleepy or anything, and don't feel like i'm drunk.

Here's a wikipedia article on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxazepam

Just my input. I haven't been taking many tranquilizers so I wouldn't know. Not sure about this Xanax

xanax does not agree with me. i take klonopin & it agrees with me a lot better. after i take xanax the next day i feel like im having alcohol withdrawal all day & thats not good cuz im a bad recovering alcoholic. i have that fluid in the head feeling with xanax like i had when i stayed saturated with booze. u may just want to talk to your doc & try another benzo.

I took Xanax for 3 years.... and it... worked... relieved anxiety.... the ozzie... out of it feeling passed.....I feel.. like I was in slow motion.....

however, I did become addicted to it.... and... for some people such as myself... it can be..it took alot for me to get off of it...

I do have a script for valium... which I take.. when needed.. it doesn't give me the "instant relief"... and yet.. I don't crave more.. of it... I can just take it when "needed"

i got in over my head with xanax a few years back. i didnt know anything about it at the time--just knew it helped me to relax really quick. i took more & more & had to go to rehab to get weaned off. of course with the short term rehabs they weaned me off too fast & i had a seizure. my klonopins dont give me the instant relaxed feeling like xanax but i do a lot better with those & they dont make me feel like im having alcohol withdrawal. i also craved more & more with xanax but the klonopins dont do me like that. i guess it just doesnt agree with some peoples chemistry.

I have taken Clonazapam, or Klonopin fora while and have been weaning from it with good success. I wish that I had been more careful, I wish that I had only taken it short term. We get physically addicted to all of these meds if not psycologically. It's great when you can't function and the meds help you but then we just have to be very self aware. Best of luck.

Thanks all---
I have been taking benzos off and on since i was 25.
I am now 37.

Not sure about this Xanax

I went to a rehab and started recovery to get off of them, but kanded back in the same situation on the same benzo one year later.
I recently went in the hospital and am now on Ativan, in place of the Librium i was taking. Since I moved home, my heart and anxiety and emotional disorders have gotten worse. I question SUBOXONE too!!!
