I talked to my doctor about it yesterday, but my medication "cocktail" has been really bothering my body lately. Sometimes my lips go numb, stomach aches that keep me in bed, and confusion. She said it might be the new med (could be) but since I'm on such a low dose I don't even know why I'd be having such a strong reaction. The only other time I have felt like this was when I accidentally overdosed, except not as severe.

My med list right now is:
400mg Lamictal (200mg at rise 200mg at bed)
100mg Seroquel (bed)
10mg Cipralex (bed)
2mg Clonazepam as needed

From what I've learned, the therapeutic range for Lamictal is around 100-200mg, but can be higher. Still, it kind of scares me that I'm on twice what is considered to be the norm regular therapeutic dosage. Could that be whats making me sick?

Other than the sickness, I feel better mentally then I have in many years. That makes me reluctant to change even if I'm feeling physically sick.

Which one of those is the new med for you?

Does your doctor think you should keep with the current cocktail, drop the new med, or just live with the negative physical effects?

I take a lot of meds too--but a different cocktail:
lamictal: 150 mg
Abilify: 30 mgs
Wellbutrin: 300-450 mgs
Dexedrine: 40 mgs

Wow, you do take a lot of lamictal...I have never heard of such a high dose. But, I am not a doctor. I would definitely talk with your doc again...

Cymbalta 90mg PO Daily
Exforge 10/160 Daily
Lamictal 200mg Daily
Lotronex 1mg PO Daily
Multivitamin PO Daily
Wellbutrin XL 300mg PO Daily
Inderal XR 120mg PO HS
prilosec PO HS
Claritin generic PO most days
Mucinex generic PO most days
Ativan 1mg PO prn
Benadryl generic 25-50mg PO prn
Imitrex 100mg PO prn

I have seen Lamictal given as frequently as 200mg 3x day at the inpatient facility where I work. 400mg is given more frequently than the above 600mg but I agree, 200mg is the most "average.

375 mg Effexor XR
60 mg Celexa
3 mg Risperidone
5 Mg Clonazapam
75 mg Naltrexone
250 mg Disulfiram

They all have overlapping side effects so I'm never really sure what's causing what.

And here I once told my pdoc, that I didn't want to be drugged up.

Sorry I took so long to respond.

The new med was the Cipralex. I still feel pretty sick a lot, but I don't want to change meds since it's working out alright. IS there anything I can really do to help with the sickness? Drink more water? I already have to drink a fair bit to help with dry mouth but I just wish I could find some kind of... something to help with the sickness.
