I am on Zoloft, but also on Prednisone for my asthma until sunday. For some reason my anxiety has been worse since Ive been on the prednisone, does anyone think it could be caused by the prednisone?

Yes, the Prednisone could be causing it depending on how high a dose you are on. You should check with your doctor, but prednisone has many side effects and one of them is agitation.

Well keep the side effects in mind, since asthsma is a life-long disease, odds are that you'll be on it again. Let you're doctor know the side effects that you're having.

YellowApple, prednisone makes me very jittery, like a stimulant. Prednisone can be very effective for allergic reactions (like asthma) in the short term. I hope you can find a different longterm solution for your asthma. (My sister takes a preventive medication for asthma in powder form with an inhaler and this helps prevent attacks from even starting.)

i take advair (powdered inhaler), I was just recently put back on it. I am better now about taking my meds like im supposed to so its good I am back on it. I had stop getting the advair refilled for a year because I was just un-motivated to take it, EVEN though it kept the asthma under control. BUT like I said Im much better at taking meds now, so I am recently back on it. Yay!
