Did anyone lose weight after getting off their ADs? I gained like 62 pounds since I started Prestiq in summer 2022 and I know its probably not all the Prestiq but a doctor said one time "something happened that summer" that kicked off the weight gain and I'm guessing it was the Prestiq.

I'm now slowly tapering off it due to health issues and I'm just wondering if my weight will somewhat go down too.

My friend dropped 30 pounds after eliminating sugar and refined starches and carbs - before that they lost weight from a change of meds but the diet seemed to help a lot.

Pretty much the only way I've ever had luck losing weight is from getting off meds. I've been trying to eat better and I've been sorta succesful. I workout too once or twice a week. I'm doing better then I was before but I kinda need to.

I rapidly gained weight on Amitriptyline and was not able to lose it after stopping the medication.

I've lost almost 8 pounds in a couple weeks and I'm still on 25mg. I've had to redo my eating patterns because of some physical issues but I do seem to be dropping some decent weight from going off it.

Both amitriptyline and sertraline put a few pounds on me and they dropped off when I came off, I think some drugs alter the metabolism.
