Does anyone know if these work well for mood swings that revolve more around anxiety and depression then mania, and are also weight netrual?

I'm having some heart issues and I don't know how much longer I'll be allowed to stay on my Geodon.

Part of my other issue is my weight. So putting me on something new that will cause a 50-60 pound weight gain will just be counter productive.

My therapist mentioned monthly ablify shots or latuda.
I've been on Geodon since 2007 so I don't want to go off it. I have an echocardiogram tommorow and then a 3 day heart montitor thing next week to find about what whats going on.

Don't know how relevant this is for you, but I had to stop Geodon because of heart QTc interval prolongation a long time ago. I take both Abilify and Latuda, and I can tell you that they're weight neutral for me. They are generally weight-neutral, if you look at the psychiatric literature, as well. They are also somewhat metabolically friendly. (Abilify and Latuda). I am not sure if your prescriber wants you on both, or one or the other. Abilify has been a life-saver for me in terms of depression. I think Latuda might be better for bipolar mood swings, though. I am on both because Latuda controls my psychosis better and Abilify controls my mood better. Hopefully this is helpful to you.
