Hi all I'm unsure where I should post this to be honest,my dx is GAD,dissociation, psychosis and depression. But out of all of these its the psychosis I find the most difficult to cope with.
Although I do not have schizophrenia I've been give ablify as the other meds have not been suitable,I'm taking this with sertraline. Please would anyone be kind enough to share their experience of ablify please? Take care Jk |

I was forced on Abilify 30 mg in the psych ward. I stopped it because it gave me crazy anxiety and crazy side effects.
"Aripiprazole (Abilify) is used to treat the symptoms of schizophrenia. Don't feed youself poison (abilify) unless you need it. Abilify is hell. I hope I helped you |

i'm currenty on abilify. right now I'm on 25 mg because at 30 mg I gained weight. It's worked for me for the psychosis and hearing voices. i've had no other problems with it and I've been on it for six years.

I think it's a great anti-psychotic. It doesn't cause weight gain, sedation, or tardive dyskinesia in the vast majority of people. I think almost anyone who needs to be on an anti-psychotic should at least try abilify. It's one of those meds that is just worth a try, because the side effect profile is so small for most people. I think it's just a fantastic med, personally.

Ability was the first antipsychotic I was put on in the hospital. It made me really tired when I took it then it would make me restless and unable to sit still. It didn't work out for me but everyones different. Has it helped you so far?
