i started both on the same day .. they keep uping them both and i keep puting on weight no matter what i do i weight more. i know both have that side affect. any ideas on what i can do or change?

I feel for you. I am on the same and gained a tremendous amount of weight when I started years ago. The only things I can suggest is to watch what you drink because drinking all the sugary drinks will pack on the pounds. Try to stick with water or diet drinks. Also, make sure you exercise and lift weights everyday.
