I'm currently on 5 mg of Ritalin 3x a day for a new diagnosis of Attention Deficit Disorder. Only been on the med for about a month now. I can already tell my tolerance has increased. In a week I got to my psychiatrist. She wants to change me over to Vyvanse. I read that Vyvanse is primarily for children with ADD or ADHD. Just looking for suggestions...what would be better in your own opinion increase Ritalin dosage or start Vyvanse? Please list why...thank you for your help.

Vyvanse is better as you only have to take it once a day where as you have to take Ritalin 3 times a day so vyvance is more beneficial

Thank you for your response. My doctor overnight had to increase my ritalin to 10 mg before my next appointment. Hopefully she will switch me to Vyvanse.
