mmmm thanks - been holding stable, didn't make any changes afterall (following good advice). I am, however, binging on chocolate. *sigh* Oh well. T is FINALLY back tomorrow. I think she got back into her practice just today.
thanks for checking....
How are you doing?
Kiya

hi kiya,
i don't think there is any advantage to splitting the pill into two daily doses-- you should take it all at once before bed. The stuff works well after a few weeks because you have a baseline level in your blood and the halflife of the medicine in your bloodstream is more than 24 hours so you will always have some lexapro in you no matter what time of day you ingest the pill.
It is imaginable that by breaking up the dosage you might manage side effects better-- I just don't know about that. But if you have been on lexapro long enough there shouldn't be any meaningful side effects anyway because that's part of adjusting to the drug.
best wishes,
pi

Kiya, glad to hear you're doing better.

I think I'm also doing better, no antipsychotics for one month now and no sign of psychosis.. which is of course a good thing. I was without lithium for 4 days and didn't get any withdrawal symptoms. I think I may be able to cut that out as well, yay lexapro

By the way, have you seen your T yet?

Just checking to see how its working for you still....

I went to the doctor the other day and mentioned the cost since Lexapro is so expensive $55 after insurance for 30, 10ml.....and asked if Celexa was just as good as alot have said and he seemd to think so, but increased my dose to 20ml, of Celexa

Seriously?!?! My MD just simply handed me an armful of boxes of samples, each containing 7 pills... and then i cut those in half, so it is lasting me a while.

The drug is working out for me - i posted the sugar?!? post with some questions on it.... i know it's a huge benifit to me with the panic attacks and triggers i face at my work. I'd never be able to do this new job w/o them...

ya...its that much, about $110 for 30 Lexapro 10 mil without insurance

He was gonna give me 20 mil Lexapro and have me cut them in half, but then just wrote the script for Celexa instead,I guess it is about the same, from what I have read, and there is a generic, so it won't cost as much, you just have to take twice as much

The Lexapro works good though,I feel
