Kinda like the title says...

I was on Lexapro (up to 20mg) to 10mg of Paxil... and because of Paxil's nasty side effects (and being a zombie) ... I'm back on Lexapro (at 10mg this time). Yikes.

Sometime I feel like a drugged up zombie... but it helps me at the same time so IDK.

... The next he's recommending (if Lexapro doesnt sit well with me) is an SNRI, Effexor. Anyone have advice about that one?

My sister likes Effexor. She said it worked for her and for my other sister, and she recommended it for me too but i stuck with SJW. She's a psychiatrist. I've just heard that it has pretty bad withdrawal effects (flu-like). She said she could feel it if she didn't take it on time.

Lovely.... yeah, I'm noticing withdrawal effects on most drugs are less than pleasant. Boo. Thanks Rap!

Hi Christine,

I went from lexapro to effexor but he effexor raised my blood pressure (a side effect of effexor) and I went back to lexapro and now I am transitioning to zoloft.

Yikes!

((Christina))

I believe it is a somewhat rare side effect but something to watch for. My pdoc said I was his first patient to have this effect. Lucky me!
