My family keeps telling me I'm being over medicated so I told me doctor this so he is going to try to take me off some of my meds to see how I do. Right now the meds that I am to quit taking are my thorazine and my klonopin both my night time dose and my rescue dose. I am very scared but hopeful at the same time. I am hoping this works.

jbug, I hope it works for you. I just had my meds cut way back. I feel better than ever. Well, today, we did bump one back up just a little. But, I feel much better being on lower doses. Hold on, it can be a roller coaster though....don't panic if it gets a little rough...hang in there and let it level out.

Good luck - both with tapering off and being off them all together. I hope it works out for you. But if you find you need the meds once you've stopped taking them, don't let your family's opinion stop you from taking them. That should be between you and your Dr. and nobody else.
