I started the Zyprexa yesterday, so far without any side effects. I didn't even get drowsy (used to Thorazine). All I have been eating since yesterday is salad and it's driving me mental, er, more mental! I'm scared of my regular eating habits now that I'm on the Zyprexa. I think the Paxil is finally kicking in, so at least I'm starting to feel better. Oh, well...

Why are you afraid to eat normally? Because it might cause weight gain? If so, starving yourself with salad will only slow your metabolism so that you gain weight more easily when you do start eating regular food again.

How about checking out the food pyramid guide on the government site, and checking portions against that? That can help a lot, as can seeing a nutritionist.

The other thing that might help is to talk to your doctor about your concerns regarding weight gain, and ask for help managing it.
