My pdoc last week augmented my standard clonazepam Rx with a supply of .5 mg "rapid dissolving" clonazepam tabs that you just put on your tongue and poof -- they're gone.
Anyone else have experience w/these? Beside the no-glass-of-water advantage, are there any special benefits? I have used them a couple of times, and they seem to be somewhat faster -- but they may just my imagination. |

i have heard of putting a pill under the tongue to dissolve and this method gets the drug through the skin, into the bloodstream - thereby releasing the medicine more quickly because it does not have to travel through the digestive tract and lost part of its effects due to losing some of the med. in transit through the body. It is called taking medicine subligually. be sure to check with your doctor to be sure of how he wishes you to take the medicine.
