I haven’t seen T for a month (holiday and stuff) and I should go there next Monday. It feels so strange, almost like before the very first appointment, a mixture of fear, curiosity and “why the hell am I seeing her in the first place”. I want to write her an email to make sure she’s still there and she’s real, but I feel so stupid and don’t know what to write.

Hi, I also feel as you do when re-connecting again, and always ease myself in with an email, perhaps saying, "hi feeling a bit funny about returning next week, so just checking in."

When I am feeling that way, I will sometimes send T and e-mail that just says "are you there?". I like Mouse's idea too.

It does feel so weird going back after a break. Be gentle with yourself and give yourself the time you need to reconnect.

My T doesn't allow e-mails, but when I was seeing her monthly I would call just to be sure she didn't "forget" me or my appointment. She would call back with a reassurance that she was there. That helped me a lot. So, I suggest emailing or calling her. I think your feelings are common. Good luck with your session.

thanks everyone. I guess I'll write that email, I need to check if the appt time didn't change anyway. I'm just afraid that the short email would turn into a long ramble about how I almost left my bf in the middle of Italy or a lot of other things. I'm sooo not good at writing short emails, lol

I like this...It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling....

I support sending a reconnection email. I think it would be a nice way to touch base before you go.

GL with your appt!

(((((((((((((((((3velniai))))))))))))))))))) How frustrating!!!!!!

Can you rewrite and resend? If you are worried about her getting the same e-mail twice, you could just tell her that you wrote an e-mail, hit send, and it disappeared, so you are worried that she didn't get it and are rewriting it...

I can't rewrite it, idk why but I just can't When i was on holiday i lost one email to T too, but I thought hey the stupid mobile phone services provider, their internet is not working properly when you're abroad, but maybe it's just me, not good at anything, even such a simple thing as sending emails. 10 minutes later and I'm not even sure i wrote the email, not sure about anything, hate myself for being so stupid.
