I'm sorry you are scared and nervous about your upcoming appointment. I hate it when that happens.

Thanks for this!

((((((((((((((((Manda)))))))))))))))))))

Is this your first appointment with new T??

Starting therapy is scary! No doubt about it. It's hard not knowing what exactly to expect.

Just know that ALL you have to do is show up. Your T will help you with the rest.

Lots of to you

Therapy is scary at first, but it's been better than I ever could have thought. You can do it!

(((Manda))) I remember the days before my first session. I had no idea what to expect. Maybe to settle yourself a bit you could review some of the online info provided here at psych central. There are a lot of articles that deal with what to expect, questions to ask the T, the different types of techniques. Can you tell what I did to occupied my mind while waiting for that first appointment day..LOL. I will also say, that my extensive review of the psych literature was not really necessary. I think T spend a lot of time learning how to get people started during the first session. Just go with an open mind and a desire to do your best and the rest will take care of itself.

As the Zen proverb goes--- Leap and the net will appear.

Good luck.
Thanks for this!
