So I started therapy in July, and then broke up with my live-in boyfriend in August. And then depression hit. I was already in therapy for other issues and this complicated things majorly! The chaos in my life had not settled until.. NOW!

I moved into my new apartment. I am living on my own for the first time. Finally there is not TONS of tension at every FOOTSTEP, unless my cat is in a bad mood! I forgot that my depression was temporary.. I forgot that this is what I was waiting for. I forgot that things would be better when I finally got out of the hellhole of absolute chaos! Now my life is MINE to control!!!

Since I've lived on my own, I have already started doing all the things I was struggling with before, and I have only been here four days!

- settling into a self-care routine again!
- eating regularly
- eating healthy things
- keeping the house clean
- sleeping full nights!
- keeping a regular sleep schedule
- feeling alive!

I was waiting for this.. I am waking up.. NOW I'll be ready to do the real work in therapy!!!

T will be so happy!

P.S. Maybe the cat needs a T?

Yeah!

Living on one's own can be so relieving. I moved into my own apartment this last fall and it was freeing. Just make sure that you don't isolate.

Congrats.
Thanks for this!

Thanks everyone!! And haha Echoes, my cat could use a T. I wonder what her diagnosis would be?

googley -- you're right about not isolating. Thing is, I came into T to try to work on social anxiety (among other things), so I was isolating before anyway! The temptation is there to be a total recluse, but that's what I'm going to work on in T... I need friends SO bad.

Anyway, I'm sure this is going to last.. even if I have a down day or two, I'm determined to keep up with eating healthily and the self-care routine!

Congrats! Also, don't get down on yourself if you have to let something slip once in a while. My housecleaning has fallen behind a little lately and I've been really stressing myself out about it. But it's not the worst thing that could happen, and I need to keep reminding myself of that. Congratulations and good luck!
