My T wears very fashionable clothing. It's gorgeous. I often comment on her shoes, clothes, bag. I love the way she dresses. It's very feminine too, but very classy.

There is another T in my T's office who was wearing this leopard print top/vest combo thingy one day. I made a smarta** comment about it ("Wow, who knew it was leopard print shirt day!") to my T as soon as he closed the door, and he laughed really hard. I probably would have been a little nicer, but she is always lunging out of doorways (the total office space is one hallway with 6 doors...I call her the "door-darter"), and she has literally almost smacked into me about 5 times. My T said once that I should throw an elbow her way, lol.

![]() My T wears khakis/dockers type pants and usually a long sleeved shirt with a collar. I think. I don't notice much. When he is "dressed up" and going to a legal or business meeting, he tends to wear a long sleeve shirt that matches a pullover sweater vest (a la MissC's T?) and a matching tie too. Like they will all be shades of green or purple. Green and purple seem kind of more casual and arty than the typical grey and blue and black of the business world, so I think he is trying to make a statement by wearing those to the meetings, like "hey, I'm the touchy feely guy." ![]() ![]() Interestingly, there have been times when my T and I analyzed what each person wore to our legal meetings, and the kind of "message" it sends. My T showed me his wedding pictures once and he was wearing a dark suit that was rather ill fitting. I just wanted to roll my eyes. Could you not have had a couple of alterations done for your wedding? LOL. ![]()

My 2nd T, the old man one, used to wear these expensive sandals. Not only did he wear dress socks that one would think was bad enough, but they were either faded or had a hole in the toe! I thought it was funny.

This thread is just cracking me up! First, the vagina scarf- I agree that theonly play I can think of that features vaginas is the Vagina Monologue. So funny, wonder if she had a clue as to what her patients might think of the scarf!
![]() And Sunny, I feel like I could have written the post with what your T wears without having met him, cowboy boot days and all. He's a cool dude ![]() I'll add one more thing, I have never commented on any Ts clothing. Ever. I dont know why. Maybe I am afraid I'd be crossing some boundary or something. I see ftt with the same pair of high heel clogs on and I want badly to tell her I love them and have the same pair! At this point Id be really embarrassed to say it since Ive been looking at them for 5 months now ![]() |

maybe your therapist does it for the same reason next time try noticing aloud her odd dress wear and accessories. If I had seen those nylons on my therapist I would have said wow look at you all ready for the miss america contest, you even brought your winners bouquet. thats cool way cool. ![]() |

interesting, my T always (always always!!!!!) wears quiet solid colors, and NO PRINTS. Once I asked her why and she said, so that what she wears will never draw any attention at all. so I look at her shoes lol ![]() since my eyes are in the neighborhood anyway (that is, fixed on the carpet) |

![]() That is a good idea! I'll wear the clogs and see if she says anything. She will notice b/c I always take off my shoes and sit cross-legged on the couch so the shoes will be sitting in full view ![]() |

Best. Thread. Ever.
My T has good taste -- khakis or black pants with solid long-sleeved shirts. Usually. He's got this one red and black striped shirt that's very slightly shiny, doesn't seem to go with the rest of his clothes or his personality. It's the only one that doesn't seem to "fit." The best thing in his wardrobe (that I've seen) is this glorious shirt in a deep solid blue, the most incredible shade I've ever seen -- it's somewhere between midnight and royal. He looks like a Spanish prince in that shirt. He doesn't seem to have a lot of clothes, and I find myself worrying about it. I'm obsessed. He wants me to come in twice a week, and I've thought I would do it on the condition that he takes my second check and buys some more amazing blue shirts. It's definitely his color! |

My T needs to get some new socks. They are all faded out from way too much washing. I also get a kick out of seeing which socks he wears with what. Khaki pants - navy socks. Navy pants - black socks. Today he had on dark brown socks with his khakis.
Of course, it's all better than when he went thru a time period where he wore his sneakers with his business attire. |

I have wanted to take off my shoes in T but never did! Other people do this? I always want to cross my legs on the couch! Maybe I will do this if I let myself feel more comfortable next time.

What is it about taking off the shoes?! I think we want to feel *that* comfortable, or I think that's what I want, anyway. I slipped my sandal off for about 8 seconds once and having that bare foot there in the room ... that was just too much 'exposure' for me to handle. lol
T wears sandals (we are in the south, we don't wear nylons often at all) and gorgeous open-toed heels so her feet are often kind of 'bare'. I love it on her. On me, not so much. |

this thread is FUNNY!!! My T wears pretty non-descript clothing...for example, I just saw her a few hours ago and have NO IDEA what she was wearing. Maybe I'm just too freaked out there to notice, I don't know. But she does have this one shirt she wears sometimes, it's a HUGE man's shirt with some weird hawaiian type print, but not in bright colors. It is really weird when she wears that shirt, it feels like she's not the same person.
Also, I saw her this past Labor Day and I think I was her only client that day and she was rearranging the furniture in the lobby of her office so she was dressed in sweats and had no eye makeup on, it was weird. She doesn't normally wear makeup that you'd notice but without eyeliner her eyes looked totally different. |
