I have therapy this morning in a few hours and I've been going through hell since the last time and my therapist has no idea, but there's really no reason for my misery, and I hate talking about my feelings, especially if I can't explain them, so do I tell her or what? and what do I say if there's nothing to say!? I am so lost!
![]() plus she has no idea I'm anorexic, and I'm NOT telling her that!

what would happen if you did tell her about your eating disorder?
also, I think it's always ok to go in there and say 'I don't know what to say'. ![]()

I'm not ready to give it up honestly. It would turn into wildly out of control binge eating [I know, I've been there] and I cannot handle that.
Thank you, I forget that I can say that I don't know ![]()

Hi RebbieDoll,
It's understandable that you might not know exactly what causes you suffering. Think of going to see a doctor for a physical illness - you usually just explain your symptoms, right? They doesn't expect you to have all the answers immediately available to you. The thing about therapy is that you MAY have the answers but they might only make sense *after* you explore the symptoms in therapy. You could tell her what you started saying here: "I've been having trouble this week but I'm not sure why.." for a place to start - and from there the T may guide you into explaining at what times you felt miserable and such. Good luck! +Jeff |

You are totally right, both of you. That is completely the point of therapy, and I missed it by a mile. I always go into therapy with my explanations in hand so to speak, but you're right, therapy is for figuring yourself out. This has been a great help, thank you so much.

Good job! I'm proud...when I used to go to therapy I used to hide everything from them. Talk about my cats or some stupid tv show to hide how I really felt about my parents divorce, or my mom's driking. Back then I didn't know I was hiding it, but now I do.
I still haven't told anyone about my SI....I'm too scared |

I meant I'm proud of you by the way...never proud of myself.
