how frequently you go to t. does it matter if you go more or less often.

you could try varying it, to see if it works for you?

when im stable i go about every 3 weeks, but i increase the frequency when i'm depressed. i hit the "too much" therapy point a lot faster than some others here; it's just what different people need. there isn't a blanket rule other than doing what works for you .
Thanks for this!

For me, it helps if therapy is really consistent. I have huge trust issues, and having the consistent contact with T helped me work through those.

I do see T twice a week, usually. I think next month I'm going to try going down to one 90 minute session a week. I think that for me, 50 minutes once a week wouldn't be enough....YET. It will be someday.

Everyone's therapy needs are so different. I agree with deli, that it's important to try different things to see what works for you.

Thanks for this!

thank you, deliquesce. dont know why i always think everything has to have a set of rules that must be followed. i can see the flexibility you mention working. right now this is as often as i can go. but it sounds like its ok anyway. dont know why i thought it would matter.

I used to go every other week or sometimes every three weeks. Now I go every week as I feel like I lose that connection and I feel like I lose momentum if I don't go every week. My T now has every Tues set aside around the same time (give or take) for me to have an appt. I just need to tell her in advance if I chose not to go. This has helped me with feeling more secure to be able to open up in my appts. Hope you find comfort in your therapy process/progress.
