T cancelled.....

My T emailed me Tuesday an hour before our session was supposed to be and said she had to cancel. She told me to call her later to reschedule, but it is Thursday now and she has not emailed or called me back. I guess that is not going to happen. I feel like crap. I feel like she is not here. Like the only person in the world that I trust is letting me down just like everyone else. She has had to cancel a lot in the past few months because of medical stuff and doctor's appointments. I have been so patient. I will get over it, just disappointed today. Worried about her actually, too. Just needed to talk to her this week. Guess it can wait until Tuesday....

Pick up the phone and call her to set an appointment. Probably just slipped her mind.

I have tried. She hasn't been there since Tuesday morning.

Are you leaving her messages? I can call my T anytime, but she will not return my call (even when she sees my name in the caller ID) unless I leave a message and specifically ask her to call me back. Hope she contacts you soon. It's hard to sit and wait isn't it?

WOW..I have seen my T for 3years now..and she has NEVER cancelled on me. It's sad that some of these T out here have little regard for others.

Emergencies happen. It doesn't necessarily have to do with a lack of regard for others.

What are your thoughts on looking for a new T, one who is more reliable?

Hey guys. I have not heard from her. I have left messages, but she works for an agency. If she is not there, she will not have gotten them. But at this point Tuesday is not that far off, just hoping she is alright.
This canceling stuff has only started happening recently. She had surgery in Dec and I am thinking it is mostly due to that and maybe some complications. But really, I would never dream of seeing someone else. I have been through so many people who suck. And I adore her. And she knows my financially situation is extremely hard having just gotten divorced and sees me for free. Only 4 days til Tues. I can do it.

Sounds like you feeling a little better dragonfly. You can do this! Just try to keep those thoughts above in your mind. It makes it a little easier when we can remember this kind of positive stuff.

Hope your T is doing well physically. I'm sure this is probably a worry for you too.
