so anxious

So I called the very nice sweet woman therapist that I met with last week to schedule a repeat appointment. And she offered me one and I told her I have to think about it.

I don't do this on purpose I really don't. It is painfully obvious how it would look to an outsider to constantly be like and then be like, "uh no thanks I'm fine." I think I'm really anxious about starting up. Can I post on here if this T starts making it worse? I'm so scared telling someone all about it will make it worse.

I completely understand though...my favorite phrase is "I'll think about it." My T just gives me a "look" whenever I say that and asks if I'm really going to think about it or if I'm just trying to avoid making a decision.

Yeah Blessed Rhi! I never commit to ANYTHING without knowing what it is first. I was supposed to be out of town this week so she asked a lot of questions about why I'm still here. And then she asked if we can begin work with so little time. (I don't know????) And if I want an appointment (yes? I guess?) Haha, 5 minutes into therapy and I am ALREADY at a loss for the answers. Never mind the crazy, I'll just be standing over here guys.

Well, ask yourself - "Do I want help or not?" No other thinking is required for now. Follow your instinct. It seems that if you've already met with her, your answer is "Yes". So, be bold and brave and courageous and make that next step. All of us here are doing the same thing - facing our demons. You know all of us on PC are here for you.

Yes, a better way to reframe this......like you don't have to hang in limbo or wait in suspense long, you get to get started on a fresh new opportunity to get help!

You are right. It's going to be so cool. Just the most amazing, fun, awesome appointment. Just the most off the hook appointment. I wish ALL of you were invited, so you could just share in the fun and healing that are going to take place. So very, very soon, now... How was that?

did you make the appointment.i have huge issues with talking in T and my T said that all she expects from me is to just show up.thats all.maybe try that and see what happens after that.

YAY!!! Sooooooo glad you have an appointment with that T. I thought the 3rd guy seemed a little much. You are very brave for making the appointment...just tell her how nervous you are but you are willing to keep showing up and start working together. Want a pocket rider??
