Hey guys. I had a psychotic break at work 3yrs ago at one of the facilities that I work at. Since then I have been working at another facility but tomorrow I am going back to work at the one where I had the psychotic break. I am so nervous! A lot of the same people that I worked with that day will be there and I really don't want to go. I sent a text to my T but I haven't heard back from her yet. Any pocket riders want to come to work with me tomorrow? Please??
Thanks for this!

I will be right there in your pocket with you! I would be nervous, too. Just remember to breathe! I'm sure your T will text back in time. *hugs*

Thanks so much Onlymedid. I really hope that my T either texts me or calls me back before tomorrow comes.

I'm with 'ya, Cats! I haven't been back to my former workplace where I had my breakdown, and I can see how that would be kinda hard. Keep us updated!

Yeah, I had to go back to work after I had a psychotic break there. It went better than I thought it would. Not too many people even acted like I'd been gone--and the ones that did comment about my feelings were my "work friends." My office was on the top of the building and it seemed like it was a dreadfully long elevator ride to the top--I spent it taking deep breaths. I hope it works out for you.

Oh, and I found out who my true friends were when I returned to work.

Remember that you have done a lot of work between then and now. I can understand the feeling of nervousness about returning. That's natural. Lean in to what you know, rely on the coping skills that work, and be kind to yourself. ((hugs))

*hops in*

You've spent the last three years learning and growing, so you are taking all of those lessons and all of that growth back with you.

I've learned in the past year that we can do things that are really hard, and we can be okay, all at the same time. Both can be true.

Be sure to let us know how it goes...it might be hard for us to hear what's going on while we're all crammed together in your pocket!
Thanks for this!

I am so there for and with you, Cats. Since I'm crafty, I'm sewing up an extra large pocket for all of us to fit in. I'll double stitch the seams so that none of the riders fall out. :-) We love you! When you walk through those doors know how much we care for you, then touch your pocket and say to yourself, "I got this!". I understand how hard this must be for you, but we're supporting you. Please let us know how it goes. You will be on my mind and in my heart.

This is a blessing a friend says to me that I want to share with you.

May Christ be within you to keep you,
Beside you to guard you,
Before you to lead you,
Behind you to protect you,
Beneath you to support you,
And above you to bless you.
Go in peace.
Thanks for this!
