In my out patient group therapy, there were also some inpatients.

And the first thing is finding out you are not alone as trixielou has shared. Such a relief.

I was in only one session at a time, but there is a program of intensive 4 week, Monday to Friday.

I am not sure of the difference between hospital based and private practice.

In my time in the program I was assigned a Nurse Therapist, Pdoc, and then there is a team- that watch sessions from behind the mirror. So you are very much in a team environment. Each group had two Nurse Therapist Leaders.
I saw my nurse weekly for conselling and the Pdoc every 2 or 3 weeks. And group was 2 or 3 times a week depending on the focus.

It kept me out of hospital.

Good luck and enjoy the Group Wisdom!
