Telling your story over again is part of most PTSD treatment modalities. She probably could have told you why she wanted you to do this. Telling it again and again makes it easier and allows you to assimilate the information from the trauma and makes it become less overwhelming. It wasn't that you didn't do a good job with sharing, it was that she wants you to feel better about it. And right now, the best treatments for PTSD trauma require the person to go over the event more than once. It does sound scary, but it also gets easier.

Thanks Googley. I think you're right, and now that you say that, I do remember her saying something a looooong time ago about telling the story of what happened and it being desensitizing or something like that. It makes sense. I wish she would have waited a week or two before talking about what is next
