So this is kinda fun, and kinda serious. What do you wear to therapy? Do you specifically pick an outfit that is "nice" or at least "nicer" than what you would wear on a non-therapy day? Do you dress any differently at all? Regular old day in the clothing department?

I'll start. If it's a day I have therapy, I tend to dress comfortable but cute. I like to tuck my legs up under me and get comfy in the chair, and if I'm wearing something too tight, that doesn't quite work! Otherwise, I really just want to make sure I look put together, so at least if I'm talking crazy, I don't look the part!

Since I work from home, I tend to wear comfy, casual clothes at home. When I go to T, I dress up a little, just because I'm going out somewhere and want to look nice. I don't really dress up for t, though...usually just jeans, a nice shirt, and nice shoes. I always wear jewelry, but that's because I need to have something to fidget with, and a ring works well. On the rare occasion that I have to go in to the office before a session, then I go in whatever I've worn to work...business casual.

Lets see, in the winter when I'm trying to stay warm, I live & sleep in my sweat pants & turtle necks & sweaters. I try to never have early morning appointments because I end up just falling out of bed, jumping in my truck & have no idea what I look like. I don't think I even sleep in cloths that don't match in color at least.

Spring, summer, & fall is a bit different. I usually am in very cool cloths at home because I can't afford to use my AC......& when I go out, it's usually a lot colder than home is & I end up shivering if I don't wear heaver cloths when I go out.......so I either throw on pants or capri's or on really hot days, will throw on a nice pair of shorts & a decorated t-shirt.

I am always running late...no matter when I start to get ready.....so I try to get dressed far enough ahead that I'm not just throwing on "something to wear" because I always like my cloths to match & be comfortable.

I'm aware of it that I'm going to therapy when I pick what I'm wearing that day. I want to make sure I'm comfortable. Usually that includes clothes I normally wear to work, but the ones I like better. The first few times I go to a therapist I get a little more dressed up- maybe wearing a necklace or something I wouldn't normally bother with very often- to make a better impression.

I make sure I wear comfortable, but good looking clothing. I don't want anything tight or uncomfortable, or clothes that I can "feel" I like maybe jogging pants and a looser shirt. I would love to go in sweats if it didn't look so tacky just because I want to be as comfortable as possible in therapy. I do the next best thing though and wear something comfy like jogging pants and a non clinging shirt. Now, if I had a therapist that looked like he can be a Chippendale, that might be a different story

I like to look decent. I wear my cuter clothes, I guess nicer, but nothing fancy. Just more presentable, but definitely comfy. On T days, I usually always have music lessons out of town and have errands and stuff to do so it's good to look better anyway. I try to keep in loose, cooler clothing though because when I get very emotional I get lightheaded and hot.

I try to wear comfortable business casual clothes to work on Therapy days because I don't have time to go home and change. I will admit that I do my hair and freshen up my makeup before a session

Tshirt and jeans
I only ever once had to wear a work pants and whole shoes to a session- but that's because I was at work before I saw her.

I go how ever I am. if my appointment is before or after my work schedule I go in the same clothes I work in - nice daark jeans and nice shirts, dresses and skirts. if my appointment is on a day Im not working I go how ever I am. this past week my partner and I were painting the kitchen, I was still painting when it was time for me to head on over to my therapists place so I grabbed my purse, and hopped the bus at the corner and showed up in paint speckled, torn jeans, stained t- shirt and paint speckled hair , hands and arms.

my therapist doesnt require a dress code. shes a come as you are, and how ever you are most comfortable, kind of therapist.

My sessions are always after work so I'm smart-ish, but on days I have T I pick my nicer outfits

I go to T straight from work, but I want to be more comfortable and feel more like real me that an "office girl" (and these two are completely different persons, lol), so I always take jeans with me and change just before I leave the office. I wear skirts at work and I like to curl up with my feet on the T's couch, so skirt is a no good in T anyway

I dress kind of artsy/funky usually, but on T days I tone it way down. I try to look as asexual as possible, if that makes any sense. If I have one of my funky tees on he comments (and I hate when he notices my clothes). I keep a grey hoodie in my car just in case I can't get home to change my clothes, it covers anything. I always wear long sleeves/pants, even when 85 degrees, one of the downfalls of having old SI scars.

In the colder weather I wore jeans and a hoodie also (a good way to hide) but now its usually dressier because of new commitments that require me to look more professional. Three times I had to go to T in full interview suit because of timing issues, and once I even changed in his bathroom out of the suit into my grubbies because it was so hot!

I go twice a week. First session is during my work week, so I wear my work clothes. I work mostly with children, so I tend to dress business-casual, or even nice jeans/blouse.

On Fridays, when I do not work but see T, I let my inner kids dress the body. They like the big T shirts or even pajamas to wear so that they're comfy. Or they wear what ever new outfit they love to show it off to her.

I have a new body since I started therapy three years ago. My clothing tends to be fitted, stylish and my tops tend to a little low cut ( something my T has noted (I used to dress in baggy frumpy clothes when I was heavy) but not revealing and are tasteful. I believe my T has coined the phrase 'sexy you' in conversation about how my body has changed :-) I love my T:-) I'm going to miss her when I'm done with therapy.

I tend to wear nicer clothes because I go to college after therapy and since I am finishing my degree and already have a profession I am expected to look somewhat professional at college. Plus I do not want them to think my hygiene is impaired or anything like that. And I always try to look nice when I leave my house.

Generally, I go straight from work to his office, so I'm in my teacher clothes. If I don't have to go straight from work, I'm generally in jeans and a t shirt of some sort. I like to be comfortable at all times when I'm not having to dress for work.

I try to put myself together better then normal because normally I dress VERY casually. Really I just try to not stand out so I dress like folks in his office. Shallow I know but hey I just don't want to be so exposed in the wating area so I cover it up.
