This feels a bit silly to share, but it also feels good to at the same time especially when I've asked for help with this previously. Yesterday with T I shared things that were really hard to share and then afterwards I was left in such a mess; couldn't stop shivering, was freezing cold and crying and curled up and wanted to stay where I was forever. But I managed to get myself out of that and let myself be gentle with me and be ... 'self comforting' ... words which even just writing are scary to write; and a practice that I didn't think I could do at least not in a positive healthy coping way. It feels like such a big step somehow. So things ARE changing

Tigergirl - not silly to share at all. That is so great. And now you have a memory of what it feels like to self-comfort. You can always return to that when needed. Awesome!!

Wow, that's great!!!

One of the things my T said to me during my session yesterday was that I am looking elsewhere to get my need to feel valued met....and that it comes from within me. I have no idea how to go about getting that need met within myself. So - what you did looks like great progress to me!!

oh, please don't be. I just felt I needed to elaborate beyond the initial 'yay'.
