Hence the consultation. If I was not feeling insane, I would not be seeing a therapist at all.
And I do not want to fail at this.

I bet!

Ts think that CSA is pretty much the worst thing that can happen to a person.

WILD SPECULATION:

I can hear your T thinking: "This is the key pain that is poisoning Stopdog's life. If only I could get her to talk about it. But she's so certain that it's not important. She's so certain that everything is not important."

I have said everything about it I can think of to say. I answer all the questions about it that therapist asks. And there are other things the t thinks are worse than I do to. I really do not recall them as being all that big of a deal for me. I will talk about them more if the t can tell me what new sorts of things I am supposed to say. But I really have no idea what else to say about any of it.

I really really don't think that therapy is something that one can fail.

We all have behaviours that can sabotage our progress, but those can be overcome with a measured amount of introspection and rational evaluation of our own thoughts.

Therapy can require a complete overhaul of a significant number of things that we think we know to be absolute truth.

On occasion, the most powerful thing about therapy is the simple question "what if I..."

At least that one question snowballed into a lot of good things for me.

Therapy can create a space where it is safe to ask it.
