An obvious question, but no one seems to have asked it for a while.

I was googling questions about thearpy and just about all of the links were from psych central so after awhile I decided to join in and see what you all were up to!

Apparently, I signed up when I started therapy the second time back in 2009, but never posted. I came back when I was trying to figure out my feelings for my current T. Glad I did.

I kept getting linked to here from all the obsessive Google searches I was doing about the therapy process! After reading for a while I decided to join, and I'm SO glad I did.
Thanks for this!

I had just had one of the worst days of my life & was devastated, living in a hotel with one suitcase, and had 1 day to find an apartment and move before I was homeless... and I couldn't reach anyone, even my T. I went out and found a new apartment and when I got home my head was just spinning. I think I googled "why isn't my therapist calling me back" and got this site. Thank goodness! I remember being really impressed by the emotional quality of the people here and how supportive everyone seemed. I really needed that then. I'm so grateful I happened on here!
Thanks for this!

I can't remember. It was right before my last hospitalization, so it could have been just about anything

Edit:
I was probably looking for information regarding depression and suicide, because I was super depressed

I don't remember either. I would guess I was doing research on bipolar disorder and stumbled across it that way.

I believe I was searching for something about anxiety back in 09, found it here and registered with the intent to comment but never did. I forgot about this site then until this past summer when I started therapy and was searching for something about *that*, rediscovered PC and actually decided to participate.
Thanks for this!

I believe I had just called my T for the first time and left her a hysterical voicemail and then told her not to call my back. THEN I was freaking out that she would think I was nuts/a disaster b/c of my voicemail so I think I googled "calling therapist and having a breakdown" or something like that.

A friend pointed it out to me. I haven't told him I joined because I don't want to be judged in my real life for my posts. Shhh....

I googled the opposite of that. and that actually took me to psych links forum. While there, I got lectured by one of the moderators because someone said their mother was a narcassist and in my response, I referred to the mom as a narcassist. I was lectured about not diagnosing people. ? Some one else on that forum mentioned this one, so I started lurking over here. I didn't join for a long time because of the psych links experience.

I googled 'I love my therapist' for many months, getting nothing, and finally came across a blog post on psych central. It was talking more about romantic love, which wasn't relevant to me, but I read through the 80 something comments at the bottom just in case. One of them referred to the romantic subforum, and from there, I found my way to the main psychotherapy forum. I remember the relief of that day well. I had been very lonely for many months. And suddenly my screen was filled with others who felt the same.

Now I find out that I could have saved myself months of loneliness if only I had googled 'hate' instead of 'love'!!
Thanks for this!

Googling, "touch in therapy" and "hugs in therapy". This is the only place I've found where real people talk about these things.
