last night i was thinking how
things are really going backwards in therapy that i'm going back to where i was months ago reliving a lot of those thoughts and feelings getting lost in the pain of that again tearing myself apart and getting upset with t becoming consumed with things i'd worked out i thought it was real that it was where i was it feels real it feels like where i am now i'm not sure I think maybe it's ... that there are things i'm trying to avoid so instead of feeling through what i'm trying to avoid and talking about it i'm going backwards to where the pain is very painful but also familiar ??? can anyone understand that? |

Yes, absolutely I understand. Perhaps, even though it felt like you worked things out the first time around, this revisiting is about working through it in a different way.

I'm not sure if I understand but I admire your insightfulness. If part of it is confusion about whether changes you're making are real, I get that.
