I'm impressed by anyone who can send an email while drunk. I doubt that I could work the keyboard!

I went to a session drunk one time. I don't know if she knew or not. She never said anything.

Granite- what's for breakfast and lunch today? I'm hungry.

He was in touch with the union yesterday and they haven't heard anything yet. I asked him how long the union plans just to "wait" and when they will do their job and be more proactive in this. I keep telling him to look for a job and he then gets mad at me. Well-maybe he will wake up when we can't pay our rent.

Did you talk to him about the temp agency? If it's a temp job, then it's not like he's giving up on his regular job. Also, sometimes the agencies have positions that are evenings or weekends so even if he gets his regular job back, he can keep the "extra" job for a while to help make up for the money you've missed with him being off work.

Oh, also, can we bring our animals with us to the couch? I can pull my futon in and fold it out into a bed. My puppy has been following me around like, well, a puppy and I want to cuddle with her and just lie around and wallow in my self pity party for a while.

Thanks! She actually 11 months old now. We got her last month from animal control. Dogs only have ten days there, and I had just started thinking about getting a puppy and saw her on pet finder on her ninth day. I wanted to name her Zoloft, but no one else in the family thought that was as funny as I did, so her name is Zoe. She's is mostly yellow/brown with a black muzzle, and her body-style looks like a mini-German Shepherd (about 40 pounds), with those giant stand up ears. I have tried to download photos before, but I can never seem to do it. I have only been able to get the photo of my other dog to work (the one on my profile page). I'm still not sure how you made the albums with all of your art work. You scan it and download it somehow?

Another day at work for me. Still feel like raging around and smashing things. Seeing as this place (work that is) is causing my frusteration I dont think much will be done but it doesn't even matter to me at this point.

Haven't posted in here before so hope this is the place to vent/update on status??

Doing ok, but school is kicking my butt and pulling me back into depression. Memory is so bad due to meds that studying is an exercise is constant frustration. I study for hours, wake up next morning, and everything is gone - have to start all over again. Very embarrassing when I go to study groups with the "youngsters" who basically read everything once and seem to remember it all.

Hubby is travelling again - gone 20-25 days out of every 30 each month, and it's getting very lonely. I love my animals but they're not very good at conversation
I'm trying very hard to stay positive and self-nurturing but finding it difficult - just want to sleep/hide.

Oh well, school break is coming up after finals next week. I will try to plan some activities with Mom/ bf/ some AA meetings/ outings with married kids, etc. to keep busy and stay off my butt so I dont' sit at home feeling sorry for myself!

BTW someone please let me know if I've misread the purpose of this thread - thanks!

Perfect, this is where we hang out and talk about whatever. Your plan sounds good....just keep swimming, just keep swimming....we are all here if you need human interaction...although there are days I'd prefer the 4 legs over 2 as a buddy.

LC - I say wait till they close it down. I don't want a new couch until we are forced out. By its your choice.

Towanda - welcome to the couch or chairs if you prefer. Anything goes here.

The situation at work is just so unnecessarily stupid. An opportunity came up for an internal transfer across the country, I expressed interest and got it since I've had really good performance evaluations. I'm going in Sept. The main boss is now acting like a child about the whole situation and making these ridiculous passive aggressive comments any time he is around. I've pretty much been written-off.

I just want to state for the record that I don't like T2's couch. It's vinyl (or leather, perhaps) and since I wear shorts 10 months of the year I "stick" to it. It's uncomfortable. I'm considering bringing a blanket that I can sit on so I can move around and contort in the usual ways (I'm always fidgeting).

Over in the library, with the port, we have leather swivel rocking chairs and pet beds.
