It was kind of scary. Not as bad as I thought but still uncomfortable. She asked me a heap of questions and then after that she asked me if I had any questions for her. My mind went blank and I couldn't think of any. It was meant to be an hour long appointment but it only lasted 1/2hr.
![]() She also wants blood tests done. I am worried that there could be something wrong with me. Like I could be dying of some horrible disease and not know it. I know it is irrational. I think I watch too many medical shows. I guess if it turns out I have a thyroid problem or something that is going to be a lot easier to treat than a mental illness! |

I think the bloodwork is fairly routine. I know I get mine done to see if my meds are affecting things negatively and to see if I have any nutritional deficiencies. I wouldn't assume the worst.

Thanks stopdog and rainboots for the replies. I am still worried about it but I guess I will just have to try and distract myself. I will find out in about 3 weeks if there is anything wrong with me.
Getting back to the Pdoc, does anyone find them to be very clinical? I know that have a medical degree but I felt like the whole thing was very impersonal and it just freaked me out for some reason. I didn't like the room either; it was so bare and again, clinical. |

Pdocs who don't do therapy do tend to be more clinical. Remember they are treating you more from a medical model. I love my Pdoc but he is definitely more cut and dry. I just got used to the style and accept it for what it is.
