Trying to figure out how many of us actually did post a picture. I took mine down. Don't feel comfortable enough to leave it up all the time. Then again, how do you guys even know that that was really me? How do we know that the others posted 'current' pics of themselves?

What do you think? Was it real or was it fake?

Well I would like to think that if I were going to post a fake pic,I'd pic someone a thinner, younger and prettier... and I'd be a doctor, with a corvette who lives at the playboy mansion.

We have to learn to trust each other... You are a beautiful woman , or whoever that was... lol

The pic I posted was really taken with the webcam on my work laptop literally right before I posted it!

Turned out to be a blessing...the compliments of people here helped me realize I'm not the dog I've always thought I was!

One major problem I deal with is lack of self-esteem and self-worth, so I can't bring myself to post a picture. I don't even think I have a picture of myself! I do want to say, though, that you are a gorgeous group of people, thanks for sharing!

I just woke up from a nap and thought about what I had posted here earlier. I came in here to delete it, but it was too late. People had already responded. I was thinking that some people may get offended in some way by the post.

I don't doubt that any of you posted the real thing. Yes, I posted a current pic of me as well. Like Lola said, if I were going to post a fake pic, I would have chosen someone younger, thinner, and prettier!

Like Chopin said, its nice to get compliments. So at least for she and I, posting a pic turned out to be a good thing. Maybe a few more of you will make the big reveal? If only for a short window of time like I did?

I don't think scared is the word. Maybe uneasy? Not sure what I was thinking. I sure don't want to be identified by people in RL. I say way too many personal things on here that I would not want anyone else to know. I actually thought it was fun to see pics of those who actually posted one.

I can also see where we get an image of a person, and then when we see a picture of them, we are thrown. It's like you know this person through the internet (on PC), but when you see their pic, you don't know "that" person. "That" person in the pic seems like a stranger.

sorry but we just dont dare post any pics of us-the only ones we allow are during hockey season and sadly,for us,that ends today so you will have to make your own mental picture but we do enjoy looking at everyone elses

hehe no!!! we have season tickets to our NHL team and we dress a certain way and dont mind being photograped like that but otherwise we arent comfortable

well, I've enjoyed others' photos, too.
I didn't post a very good pic of me.....soft, indistinct, blurred. I hadn't thought of it before, but maybe it was on purpose...to not be so clearly seen.
I don't know.
I didn't expect any compliments, because I know I don't look great or special or anything. But I know I look fine to people in real life and my H thinks I'm beautiful and I'm happy with my face/body/hair - not that I'm always satisfied, but I'm basically content with what I've got. I don't have the body image issues I used to.....so that's one blessing/wisdom I seem to have received as I've gotten older.....

I don't guess any of you did. My friends that I have outside of PC (that I met here) is what I am referring mostly to. We all had these images of what we thought the other looked like. We kinda feaked a little when we sent each other pics. It wasn't a bad thing. It was just that you get an idea in your head based on the personality you see in that person's writing here on PC. I reacted in fear at first, but now they are my friends and I don't mind at all that they see pics of me or my family. It's all good with us.

When you read posts on here, you get a 'feeling' for what that person is like. Examples would be: wise, silly, childish, anxious, serious, playful, intelligent, sensitive, outspoken, etc...

If you think a person writes like a very playful, silly, childish type, you don't expect to see a pic of someone who looks like a librarian. If you think a person writes like a very wise, serious person, you don't expect to see a pic of them riding dirt bikes in the mud. You get the idea? Not that a librarian can't be silly or a wise person cannot ride dirt bikes. This is hard to explain! I don't want to say the wrong thing and offend anyone.

I have no idea what people thought I would look like. I am a teacher and caregiver. I can be overly sensitive, silly, intelligent, defensive, etc... There are many sides to Squiggle! And my name says a lot. I don't think I "look like" a Squiggle. Most people who first meet me say that I have a very "authoritative" look/style about me. That I carry myself in a professional manner and sometimes appear to be unapproachable. Yet once they get to know me, they see that I am just a big cut up!!
