How often do you contact your T outside of session?

I typically email 4-5 times a day. It can be as little as one, but as much as 10 sometimes. Phone calls are for crisis' and Ive only done that two times.

T encourages me to email because I have a hard time speaking, and he always responds. I only do it about once a month though.
I sometimes text in crisis...maybe every couple of months or so and he usually has me come in for extra session. Those after text calls are odd

T: What's going on wiki?
Me: um. ah. kind of hard.
T: ok, do you want to come in and try to talk?
Me: sure. is that ok?
T: Yes, I would love to see you.

Every day. We write emails. When shes home (& not so far away) she and i text each other a few times a week.

I have no contact with my T outside of sessions.

Too much

I usually email at least once a week, and sometimes more, depending on how distressed I'm feeling. I don't ever call her, unless I'm truly in a crisis, which I think has happened twice since I've been seeing her. She doesn't do texts.

I do not contact my T between sessions.....

T1, I rarely contacted between sessions. She always said to call if I needed, but I knew usually I'd get her voice mail and if she called back, it'd be only 5 min or so. A few times I did have an extra session .....
T2, she gave me her cell right away, but I didn't call at all for several weeks. Then I called once when I was out of town and not for several weeks again after that. Then there was a BIG thing that happened and so I thought, screw it, I'll call and see what happens. She talked to me for quite a while. And that sort of started a thing where I had her permission to call a time or 2 between sessions and she gave me a ton of phone time, so that's the way it was for a few months, until I came back home. I didn't abuse the privilege, but decided if she offered it to me and it was helpful, I'd use it. We ended up doing more and better work on the phone than even in session!

No contact between sessions unless it's a scheduling thing or an emergency. I see T 1X/week.
