I crossed a boundary last week with my T(not on purpose); we were able to talk about it but it has brought up all of my past abandonment issues and my anxiety has been going through the roof. I even bought a book by jasmin Lee Cori called, Healing From Trauma: A Survivor's Guide To Understanding Your Symptoms And Reclaiming Your Life. I know my T will not leave me but the terror I feel is very real. How do I work through past trauma?

I think it is great that you were able to talk about it with your T. I have no idea how to get past the terror; I struggle with it myself. My only plan right now is to keep showing up to therapy and hoping that it works.
Thanks for this!

It is ok to learn as we walk through life. We don't know all the answers up front. It is ok to make mistakes as long as we learn from them and honor the lessons they teach us.

OMG I have a trauma book too (different one) that I plan on bringing to show T at next appointment. I can identify with your fears. Many hugs. Sorry I don't have anything else to offer for ideas. PM me anytime.
Thanks for this!

I am with Pbutton on this one.. I think we all will or have crossed boundaries with our Ts or in other relationships... Things will get better and keep working on it!
