My soul is on fire and heart unsure
And I don't know where else to turn
When God is silent and I am alone
I wonder if there is a point to this
I work so hard to open myself up
Just to be ignored once again
Do you realize that the changes
You've helped me make are the
Very things that isolate me from
Those in my life who once cared
My husband cannot cope with it
My best friend suicidal herself
Where else do I go from here
What else do I have to do
To survive this dark soul night
Growing dimmer each hour
Until the darkness overtakes me
I thought WE weren't letting me
Ever go to that place again
But now I see that WE means me
And I cannot trust what you say
Just like so many others in life
Why do I even waste my time
I should just accept my fate
That you are but just a facade
And I am always utterly alone

Do you still believe this?

It's not easy for a husband to cope with a wife rapidly becoming more assertive.
But he will.

Wow Chopin there's some powerful emotions there! I read it twice and still haven't absorbed it all. Good job expressing all of that. I'm sure it wasn't easy.
Thanks for this!

Yes, I believe it. It really has nothing to do with my H or BFF. H can't cope with it because of his own difficulties. My close circle remains the same. It has to do with some other friendships that were not exactly healthy that I've lost because the changes. They weren't major friendships, but they were still people I could rely on sometimes. T told me when she went through therapy she lost every single friend she had at the time.

Thanks, but actually I wrote that in five minutes. It is what my soul had to say and when it does speak, it pours out. Luckily, it's pretty poetic!
