for the past 4 days we have been extremely anxious and feeling like we want to jump right out of our skin. we have zero to no patience and snap at everyone. this isnt like us to be so hostile for no known reasons but even though we keep trying to figure out why we cant really come up with anything. really strongly thinking of asking cores huband to buy us something so we can sleep and stop feeling like this. wish we knew what was wrong

I wish I could help you Trinity, but I have no advice, only hugs. I hope they're helpful.

You've had a super stressful week/end. It makes sense to me why you would feel jumpy.

Whenever I have a stressful time I tend to bust through it and handle it well -- then a few days later, when the stressors are mostly gone, I tend to fall apart. Sort of a delayed reaction. Maybe you respond to stress similarly?

Hugs, hugs, and more hugs!

yea, after your weekend you have a right to be jumpy. Do something kind for yourself TD, you deserve it.

You have had an incredibly stressful week. I don't think the cause of your anxiety is a mystery at all. Give yourself some time to regroup. Lots of deep breathing and quiet time may be in order.

well, you've been dealing with a tremendously heavy physical/emotional load and it's been stressful for you, as it would be for anyone. I'd say it's no wonder you're dealing with what I might call emotional aftershocks, feeling jumpy/grumpy! I have felt the same sort of thing before. It'll settle down and pass .... like suggested, some deep breathing, quiet time, rest, even something relaxing/pampering would be in order. You need some TLC!

I can only echo what other people have said. It's not a strange reaction, it's very human - you only have so much energy in your mental reservoir, and when it's been used up you have to allow it to fill up again. (Maybe not a particularly good image, but hopefully you know what I mean.)
