What are the odds that this pro-medicating guy would go full on supportive of me going off meds?

What are the odds that in the past month he read the same benzo withdrawal book that I read?

What are the odds that in the past two months he has visited in person the same MindFree organization I have been frequenting on line?

Totally freaking amazing. My usual 15min med check turned into an hour of total encouragement and support. It feels so good to have someone on my side.

That's wonderful, Wikid! I'm so happy you go some much-needed support.

Do you think that T will be more supportive if he knows your pdoc is?
Thanks for this!

I don't know. I texted T with a "Dr. F. is now on board, I had a great meeting with him" and I received a text back "glad it went well." I want to call T and tell him how well it went, but I worry T would feel badly for some reason. I connected with pdoc so much today, about everything. Even in chit chat we talked about some work he was doing with the homeless (I volunteer at the shelter a few times a month). It was an hour of "you do? Me Too!" I really, really needed to sync up with someone like that. In 6 years I have never talked with him like that.

That's great wikid!
I don't think T should feel bad, afterall they WANT us to be able to connect with people other than them right?
Thanks for this!

YEAH!!! Where is the high five button when we need it? I'm so happy that you have someone to talk to about it. I bet your T won't be upset but relieved! Now he won't feel the burden of making sure you are "OK" throught the withdrawl will totally fall on him... he can let up about it. I bet T's felt torn...wanting to support you but not wanting anything bad to happen to you...
Thanks for this!

Obviously you did a great job advocating for yourself and what is working for you. It is a brave thing to both go off the meds and to get your pdoc in line to support you. I don't know your T, but I have a feeling that he will feel more confident supporting you in your choice now that you have "the expert" on your side.

I hope this is a great time for you moving forward.

omg Lola, I love that hymn. I don't talk about God much on here so I don't offend, but today was a huge answer to prayer. He looked out for me
