I thunderstorms. It would be cozy right now to have one. It's 11:35pm and the house has finally cooled down to normal levels. It's 81F.

I have couch nappers. I think they're rather cute!

When I lay my head on those particular pillows, my head goes up and down...it's the funniest thing...well maybe funnier when the pillow growls and whines a bit when I try to adjust it.

Lola...I just checked out the puppy pics too. Poor mama Daisy looks worn out!! But those pups are adorable...especially the little girls. I wish I could take one, but the 3 we have are more than enough for us to deal with. However, I can't imagine they won't all be adopted. Have you run a craigslist ad?

Yeah...a bit creepy...but to this chick drenched in sweat...it looks rather chill.

Not that any dungeon had a good past/purpose, but that one arouses quite a bit of pathos within me.

At the rate I'm going, we'll have an entire house by the time the next thread rolls around. TTGB...you may have created a monster. I do love decorating.

Wow Chopin! You did go on a roll last night while I was in dream land.

Good morning friends. I woke up at 5am this morning. Who does that on a Saturday morning for no reason?

Anyway coffe and tea is on. Help yourself to as much fruit, Kashi and muffins you would like. Maybe Wiki will swoop in and make the banana and peanut butter thingy's as I don't seem to have bananas or peanut butter.
Thanks for this!

Morning all...TTGB,

Chimi's are in the pan, should be warm and toasty for all who enter.

Love the additions, nice rooms, nice couches. I think I will grab a guitar and prop myself up on the staircase.

I have one question for Chopin...why don't you have ac?

Hey, I want to be in the book area, too.

Speaking of which, what are people reading, currently? I'm reading Niccolò Rising by Dorothy Dunnett. It's set in 15th-century Europe: Flanders, Burgundy, and some of the Italian city-states. Really excellent writing, and very interesting characters (with humour!) though the world it depicts is so different from what I'm used to that I have to read very slowly to take it all in. It's the first novel in a series, and the general plotline has to do with the rise of a merchant empire.

I read mostly non-fiction, and I have a bad habit of reading 2 or 3 books at a time, so it takes forever to finish. If I read fiction I am buried in it until I finish the book and sometimes the sequels as well. (I read the Millennium Series by Steif Larrson in a week.)

Right now I am reading:

Agnes’s Jacket: A Psychologist’s Search for the Meanings of Madness by Gail Hornstein
Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer
I Never Promised You a Rose Garden byJoanne Greenberg
Why People Believe in Alien Abduction by Susan Clancy
(we have a close family friend who is petrified of aliens abducting him)
