I find teavana a bit over priced - but they do usually have a bunch of tea to tempt you. Are you looking for some new and unusual kinds? And if you don't have anything else to do - I would say go check it out.
Thanks for this!

I am looking for the different and unusual. I checked out their website and they definitely have many flavors that aren't available in my neck of the woods. The only thing is I would have to buy an infuser. I didn't realize at first that all they sold is loose tea; I don't know if I trust the bags they make to put the loose leaves in.

I really like rooibos, green, and white teas and in my area, the varieties of green are fairly common. It is actually hard to find rooibos and white teas in any flavor but plain (I like all three plain also, but I like to mix it up now and again).

Plus if I drove the 50 mile round trip, it would count for my monthly mileage check (hehe)!

They also have a brewing thing where you put the loose tea in and pour in the water and then after it has brewed - you put the device on your cup and it releases the tea into the cup. I have one for work and home both. I am a sucker.
it is like this:

That's pretty cool, actually. I wonder if I could find one locally at World Market or Williams-Sonoma (although talk about overpriced).

H and I go into Williams-Sonoma and alternately laugh at how outrageous the prices are/plan what we are going to buy when we win the lottery.

I also love Arbor teas. They have a lot of different ones. I usually need to drink decaffeinated teas and they have a decent selection of those, too.

I don't have teavana here in Canada but our equivalent (not Teaopia though yuck) is a frequent stop when I have the money. I'm a big lose lead tea fan. They also have travel cups that have infuses built in or tiny infuse balls you can let the leaves sit in - they're usually cheap.

Lose leaf is what introduced me to the wonders of agave

Critterlady...I just checked out their website...looks interesting and I like fair trade products.

Silent...I like the sound of the travel cup and the ball. The ball might be more my speed as I like to drink my tea at night before bed.

I think I'm obsessing about tea because I didn't bring any on this business trip. All they have here at the hotel is full-caff black. I'm already up late, I don't need to be up any later!

In fact, I need to get off here and get some sleep. Everyone have a great night!!

They use it as a sweetener instead of honey or sugar.

This is the first one I got
www.davidstea.com/accessories/infusers-and-filters/mesh-teaball-with-charm
But I might not recommend it because if you have a tea with tiny leaves they seep out a little bit.

This is Shorty of like the one I use now that works better

Ah. Doesn't agave cover up the taste of the tea? I like it as a sweetener in somethings, but to me it has a strong flavor of its own.

Apt...that isn't pathetic at all. You have been handling this break really well.

I love Arbor Teas too, black with no sweetener. I also use Traditional Medicinals and Yogi Teas (those are pre-bagged). Pau d'Arco is one of my fav's.

Silent - I wonder if that is the same DavidsTea we have downtown in Kingston where I live? Never heard of the place till two weeks ago when my wife and I were walking downtown.

Good morning all-

Banana and soy milk smoothies anyone?

Silent - thanks for posting the infuser info. I have one of those mesh balls, but the rooibos tends to seep out a bit.

We don't have any tea stores where I live. (Tevana is 50 miles away). We used to have a coffee shop with a wall of tea, but it never caught on and now it's just a coffee shop again.

Morning, everyone.

My alarm keeps going off and I feel like something the cat dragged in. I didn't fall asleep until after 2 am, then woke at 3:45 with stomach pains. Went back to sleep about 4. Alarm started going off at 8.

2 nights with bad sleep=irritable Chopin. I have to try to rearrange 50 SE charts then make the 3.5 hour drive home. I sure hope I sleep well in my own bed tonight!!!

Happy Tuesday, folks. I need a hug dammit.

Would it be worth the drive on my next trip up when I have to stay 3 days (like drive there one evening after work)?
i would say totally yes and try a bunch of teas.hows your trip going?

my canadian cousins brought my mom some tea bags once, I had never seen them before, they were like fold-over baggies, I prefer them to the infuser which as you say you have to clean and can tend to leak. I always get leaves caught in the edges and that makes me tense!

the infuser is the way to go they cost about 20 dollare but worth it.i agree with stop that it is a bit pricey so truely i would be expecting to spend some money.i never get out of there without spending at least 60 to 80 dollars but i buy a lot of tea

the problem with the ball is is doesn't let the tea expand as much as it is able to and allow as much flavor.OMG now i sound like a sales person .grrrrr ok the ball is great in a pinch.they do have to go containers with baskets in them . again about 20 $.
