"Where did you go just now?"
"You are beautiful and talented."
"Whoa!" (I like this one a a lot cuz it makes me feel like I got through her professional persona and touched the human inside for a second before she covers it back up!)

I know this thread is a couple of days old, but I just discovered it

My t always says to me "You're in charge", which sometimes I like and sometimes I hate!

Another thing she always says, after she asks me a question ...."and you're not allowed to say I don't know!!" Because I always say that even though I have an answer!! I used to say I don't know and then she would say "if you did know, what would it be?" but now she just skips straight to telling me not to say "I don't know". I recon she says that at least once every session!

"I need you to REALLY look at what's going on, is that the reality of the situation?"

I can't even tell you how many times I hear this.

I know it's rly old, but I gotta share what my t just wrote:

You have taken quite a tumultuous journey and I am glad that you have kept writing, stayed in touch and are now on the other side. Know that I will keep working with you unless you fire me.

I know she won't leave me. That means the world...

Surely "eccentric" is an unambiguously positive charcterisation? Or is that just me?
Thanks for this!

Some of these saying are straight from the book of cheeseville!

I swear i would have to tell my T NOT to say "and how does that make you feel?" "what are your tears about?" or repeating what i say "so you feel sad? uh-huh..." etc omg bleugh!!!

I'm not really aware of my T over-repeating anything.

Sometimes it has been combined with challenging so I am not certain it goes to positive. Possibly not negative. I would mostly go with neutral.
Thanks for this!

"You are NOT your mother"
"I'm not going anywhere"-- (except, of course, on all those **** vacations! )

And I have told her, when she asks the very cliched "how's that workin' for ya?", to never say that to me again! Of course, maybe she would say that just to see a little anger from me?!

Sometimes when I get quiet and lose eye contact, he gives me this half smile and says, "Where did you go just now?" or "Where are you, what's going on?"
