I think it is beyond time to file a complaint against this doctor. It is never ok to leave your client in this manner and without any referrals. Especially because you were on meds. The only thing I can think to explain is maybe she is not practicing right now due to emergency, but even then she should have notified her clients. Time for some oversight of her behavior.:huggs::

Yes, I filed a formal complaint against my (former) T with the State Licensing Board, the APA, and the ACA.

The process isn't difficult but it can take a while, mostly done through mail, email, and phone, but I did have to meet with thhe investigator from the State in person one time, so far. There may be hearings down the line, as well.

Depending on how long ago it happened, it may be 'too late' - I can't remember but I believe at least one of the complaint I filed indicated it had to have happened within the last three years or something.

Yes. I filed a written complaint against a pdoc. I was in hospital and when I talked about how the doc had talked to me in the outpatient program they encouraged me to file the complaint.

it is a very serious and long process. for me it was. at least.

they sent investigators to the psych. unit was on. twice. i had to be interviewed and recorded. there was a trial set, but he "settled". thank god, too. i would have had to testify.

they took my cell phone records, my desktop computer's harddrive, over 200 emails i printed out.
