Ex-T called. I got angry

Hmm I finally ( yet again ) got a hold of my ex T. ( Can´t even be bother with the whole story again ...But it is not about her ignoring me or paperwork or ignoring me this time..LOL

Okey so after that whole ignoring me yet again for three months in a row she finally called me.... I don´t recommend anyone having a couple of classes of wine and then answering the phone when it is your T calling.

I was not drunk.Just been out with a friend and "tipsy" enough to tell her how I felt....

...That I was angry ( furious) with her and sad. I could not even speak normally out of anger and because I was so surpriced she even called back ( Oh well and the wine).Talked to her in a somewhat negative tone about her responsisibility as a T/PDOC and was a bit harsh.

First she sounded suprised ( I have never been angry or negative towards her before)
Then she was kind of cold and just said take care in a " I don´t care" sort of way. ( I don´t think she had seen my reaction coming and I oh well would not really let her speak,so maybe that was just her way to end the conversation to not stir up things any further.

I have been a " I feel great client" for a year. Not much of a "talker" same old boring stuff week after week...would not let her in really or at least show negative emotions.

Now appart from being embarressed for they way I talked to her, I am wondering if maybe I should go back and this is when the real therapy work or the next step starts..work through a rupture and not just quit on bad terms?

Does that even make sense or am I in denial ?

Lonely, I am SO glad you were able to have a chance to tell her how you felt!!! I hope that you are not embarrassed about it. Personally, I would not recommend going back to this person. She is unreliable and unavailable when you need her. NOT the kind of therapist I would want to have.

Close the book on this one, stick a fork in er' its done, j/k

Just a never ending transference I will get over sooner or later.

I am for ever grateful for your support/feedback in here. I am " a slow learner " at times....but it means alot to me.


For those who remember I just have to share...reason why the paperwork was not filled this time......and the answer is...*drumroll*.....She did not know what to write This is a highly proffessional T AND Pdoc who supervice and teach other T´s and socialworkers etc.

I don´t buy that explanation one bit, but maybe it does explain why I am a more "mental" and confused that when I got there at times. Somethings wrong with the whole picture.

I'm glad she called and you could say what you needed but lolas joke response sounds the best advice. Continuing based on what you've shared before sounds guaranteed to cause you more pain and confusion; unless you think you missed something?

Keep hounding her until your paperwork gets done. It is her job to do it. But at the same time, try and find a new T

I'm glad you got to say what was on your mind. But she abandoned you. A three month long abandonment is NOT okay. Find a T who will treat you right.

Don't go back to that crap, you are worthy of being treated with respect and dignity.

I think it's awesome that you confronted her, now move on if you can. (but tell her to fill out the damn paperwork first)

If you haven't talked to her for 3 months and never said much to her in the first place; I'd find another T if you wanted a T. It does not sound like you want/ed to work with this one.

Ahhhh...that felt good. I have sent the papers and now she is F.... ignoring me again. Don´t even bother replying. I am a lost case on this one sigh..
