Aww I'm sorry MKAC. You certainly have reason to dislike this time of year.

MKAC, its rough when you associate sad events with a certain time of year or holiday... it just brings it up over and over again..

One thing that worked a little for me with a situation was to find something that person liked about the season/holiday or a fond memory with that person from that holiday/season... to try to counter balance those feelings... it works sometimes for me when I'm in a good space.
Thanks for this!

I'm sorry, MKAC. I can see why it isn't a good season for you.

It's funny you say that today, Ready. Just this morning I was talking to T about missing my mother so much and dreading this first Thanksgiving and Christmas without her. He told me to start with something she loved and remember how it made her happy. I had actually done that last night - someone mentioned Edy's Slow Churned Peppermint Stick ice cream, which was something my mother loved. We'd joke about who was going to be the first to spot it in the grocery store. It made me smile and cry at the same time.

So is it wrong that I think my UPS driver is kind of cute? Maybe he likes fat, frumpy, older women

No unless it causes you to begin ordering things to be shipped UPS. FYI no one on the couch is fat, we are fluffy.
Thanks for this!

I'm not overweight, I'm undertall. I should be about 7'10" and then I'd be just fine.
Thanks for this!

I have a little sign that says "I am a perfect size 6. I keep it covered in fat so it won't get scratched"

Me too!

I'm usually a "shades of pink" kind of girl, but I got teal polish last time. And it's a shellac, so I'll have it for weeks. So unlike me!
