When I first joined PC, I was just starting to really FEEL emotions. It was as if I was going on auto-pilot for years, walking on eggshells, cautiously, getting through each day, living only in fear......

....Then, I made some drastic changes to my life that caused a flooding of memories and emotions that I had (and have) trouble allowing myself to feel and work through.

Hence, mixedup_emotions! MUE, for short.

Alone in the world is just how I feel 90% of the time. feel people do not want to be involved with me in any way.

Cool I always wondered what kind of meaning your username might hold...oddly not as deep a meaning as I thought it might be.

When I talk about my level of depression I use a scale of 1-10.

1. Face down in the bottom of the well.
2. Face up in the bottom of the well.
3. Sitting down in the bottom of the well.
4. Standing in the bottom of the well.
5. Climbing the walls to get out of the well.
6. Standing at the edge of the well.
7. Walking away from the well.
8. Running away from the well.
9. The well isn’t even visible.
10. I can’t even remember that the well exists.

I like this! This is a cool mental visual of rating. I'm going to steal this idea! Thanks

Mine isn't very interesting. I really like turtles and I like the color blue, and it also says how I feel a lot of the time. I don't know why I spelled turtle the way I did. It's just something different.

A while back I went through an intense period of self-examination. I eventually got to the point where I realized that if you can't love yourself, how can you love others? I was panicky for a while, because I didn't love the self I was discovering. I thought, what if you dont love who you really are? Then what? But then I had a really powerful dream that there was a "real self" that I loved, and that self took the form of a bunny in my dream. It was lovable and helpless and unable to defend itself, like a real bunny. About all that bunnies are good at is to run away, really fast. I didn't know who I was, but I knew that somewhere was a real me that i loved. Eventually I found it. So I'm in the process of discovering "the bunny within", the real me that is very vulnerable but that I love very much. I'm trying to coax the real me out, but it's pretty well hidden and protected.

Wingless bird with hairy feathers. Seemed right - still does. I am a member of the species but lack some of the defining traits. And I like the word "apteryx". Also, like the apteryx in the comic strip B.C. I look awkward and say awkward things.

Lola was a show girl, and that song reminds me of younger years for some reason, and she needed a last name.

Mine is pretty much self explanatory. I am just trying to get by on what I got. Just trying to make lemonade out of lemons.

I consider my insiders, as I have DID, as "my angels", sometimes

I also feel like we can be very 'stormy', stuck in a storm or moody. There is rain often, thunder and lightning sometimes. Rain/stormy situations make me think of depression but also of peace, which is often how we feel.

Hence, stormyangels.

I wanted something non-discriptive of my IRL self. I like dolphins and I'm a female.

I picked Shiny Things because shiny things catch my attention. Then I realize that no amount of shiny things can make me happy. They haven't yet, anyways.

I chose mine because of a conversation I had with my t, after she loaned me a book about archetypes and goddesses and stuff like that and there was a 'goddess wheel' in there along with a quiz and when I took it, the results were strongly Artemis. But, no one else knows this but me & t so my Artemis is hiding within. Although lately, not hiding so much anymore!!!

I had another username "Suratji" that means "Little Soul" in Sanscrit but I changed it because I thought I might be identified too easily. So, looking out window and seeing beautiful blue sky, I chose this name. Only later did I realize, by some comments, that it could also mean feeling 'blue' but that wasn't my intention.

Oops! I parsed it as Miss Wimmy. I thought maybe your real name was Wilma.

I believe Dolphin and Wolf are two of my spirit animals. (well, I have always felt a huge connection to these two beautiful creatures). I thought Wolfin also sounded like a smaller variety of wolf, like an elfin creature. Something mystical. 3 is thrown in there because it's my favorite number.
So yay! And I really love my profile name too.

Enjoying reading these!
