AWh, Sorry to hear that but that sounds like a great plan for the week a head. Its always a good idea to keep busy and preoccupied. You guys are so lucky having thanksgiving. How long have you had this depressive episode now? Does it usually take as long to come out of it?

This started in September and has been fairly severe for a month now I guess. My episodes tend to last about 3 months on average I guess. Fall is always hard for me with getting back to work and all the stress that involves. I suspect there's a seasonal aspect to it as well. As episodes go though, this isn't nearly as bad as I've been through before. Still sucks, but I'm not actively suicidal and haven't had to go into the hospital this time, so this is an improvement.

This is great, sounds like you have a choice now how to deal with it. Whether to indulge the depression or fight it. It lasts a long time- I symphatize with you.
Its hard to pull yourself out of it and to try and control your thoughts surrounding it. I am glad that I went to therapy as this is one of the most valuable things I got from it that we can control our moods.
Depression can strike at anytime though and sometimes we don't have to fight to win.
I hope you feel better soon
