I agree - I don't see that there was anything to "take well". Anne expressed her opinion. That isn't hurting anyone.

I notice that while you have commented a time or two about what you feel is a lack of support in response to your threads or posts, you fail here to acknowledge the effect your words had on me. Had you wanted to speak purely about yourself, you could have posted exactly the same words, without the quote of Chopin responding to me, which made it seem like it was about my post.

I doubt that you had the intention of trying to take a shot at me, but you could at least make the effort of acknowledging this was not the case. You could have chosen to be supportive, or at least say that you were not trying to be unsupportive.

Instead, I just feel used by you to make a point about yourself. That doesn't sit well with me (although I have already gotten over it), but I did want you to know, even though I don't believe you'll acknowledge it.

From a purely personal perspective, I'm grateful for your post #18, Anne. I found it beautifully written, and it gave me much to ponder. Thanks for that.

CE, I was not trying to be difficult, a trouble-maker or unsupportive of you. I genuinely wished to know WHAT about Anne's post was something that you thought Chopin had to be "brave" about or take well. I am truly trying to understand because I have been accused of being unsupportive when that was not my intent, so I'm trying to learn. I also thought Anne's was well written and thoughtful, and really and truly do not understand what the issue was with it. Is this information something you're willing to share? Otherwise, the rest of us who really try to offer honest input are left to guess at what might be construed as unsupportive.
