Just saw the news this morning. There really are no words.

The couch is quiet tonight..

I think we're all subdued by current events.

Just found out today that my friend/co-worker was fired. We were both hired on at the same time for the same job. We're both part-time grad student assistants.

I am in shock and scared for my own job.

They gave her absolutely no reasoning. No sit-down saying things were going south and needed to get better. She's been out sick all week which apparently contributed to the decision.

I feel like this isn't how you're supposed to treat people. There were no signs that they've been dissatisfied. I don't want people to smile at me and then pull out the rug w/o warning.

Most disturbing.

There have been some heated exchanges on my group T blog lately...and I finally mustered up the strength to chime in....

....one of the newer members responded, sharing his experience of me from my show - using the words "charged, full of life, beautiful and inspiring".....WOW. Just, wow. It's hard for me to take in words like that....especially when it doesn't match my experience of myself.

Not sure what to make of it just yet....it's hard to hear someone say "beautiful" without cringing...because it's so far from the truth....it's hard to imagine anyone really feeling that way towards me.

MUE...does the group members have any times during the week where they take a break from reading posting and responding on the group blog? I mean... I'm just asking because I wonder how healthy it is for the group members to constantly process throughout the week without a break? Or is it just a continuation from things that happen in group, etc. I guess in other words is there a day during the week that the T closes the blog for posting, so that everyone can take a breather...

That isn't mental illness, that's evil. There's a difference.

Yeak. Idk. When I was really messed up and suicidal last year, there was a two-day period where I felt a horrible compulsion to hurt someone close to me. In my messed up head, I though it was the only solution so I could leave this world.

I'm disgusted by those thoughts now. Disgusted with myself, but there was little I could do to control it at the time.

I'm not so sure. Can anyone have a healthy mind if they have a rotten soul?

I dont give a rip how crazy you are , children are innocent and even a crazy person should know that! Most become crazy in childhood , right?

There are types of mental illness where there is an inability to distinguish. I have represented people who had schizophrenia and other mental illnesses where they simply did not have the wherewithal to act in a rational fashion. It is a tragedy.

Can't deal with all of this coverage, and everybody talking about what happened. Can't deal with it. I feel sorry for them, have prayed for them. I just can't be around it.

I'm the same way, just can't deal with it. So I am watching Love, Actually.
